One thing is for sure. You can’t take a Mansory-tuned vehicle for anything else. The tuner doesn’t shy away from building fierce beasts inside out, with a cherry not on top but under the hood. And the Mansory P900 Mercedes-AMG G 63 is one of those beasts.

The G-Class is probably one of the best playgrounds for the German tuning house. Since the moment it first rolled off the assembly line in Graz, Austria, the Gelandewagen has been this rugged angular off-roader with primitive manners and only recently, luxury equipment. Mansory somehow deletes everything and rebuilds it all from scratch. Well, not literally, of course.

The P900 wears the San Desert Gloss body shade. The tuner’s choice positions it right from the start at the top of the rich in the Middle East. Contrasting that gold tone are the completely new hood, rear wing, and several other details in exposed carbon fiber.

The off-roader marches on 24-inch FS.15 monoblock forged wheels. It also sports LEDs up on the roof, housed by – you guessed – a carbon fiber support.

The interior theme follows the one of the body, but the gold turned into crème on board, with Cuoio leather in that tone wrapping just about everything up there.

But it’s not just the plastic surgery that makes this Mercedes-AMG G 63 has undergone. It also ended up with some extra oomph. The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 now goes as far as – that’s an easy guess – 900 PS (899 HP) and 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) from the stock 585 PS (577 HP) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft).

That’s enough for the G 63 to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds, instead of the 4.5 seconds the stock version takes for the run. The needle of the speedometer stops at 250 km/h (155 mph). Do you really need that much to go dune bashing somewhere in the United Arab Emirates, for instance?
