Police say they have positioned the driver and truck associated in a collision that claimed the lifestyle of a youthful motorcyclist in Halifax this 7 days.

Investigators experienced been trying to find the truck and its driver since Monday.

Halifax Regional Police obtained online video from the incident and launched a picture of the truck Thursday morning.

Thursday afternoon, police reported the driver and motor vehicle have due to the fact been observed.

When contacted by CTV Information, law enforcement would not say regardless of whether the driver experienced turned by themselves in, and if expenses are expected.

“The make a difference is still an ongoing investigation,” claimed HRP Const. John MacLeod in an e mail. “We are not giving further facts at this time.”

The collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. Monday on Dunbrack Avenue, close to the exit ramps to Highway 102.

Police say the motorcyclist was travelling north on Dunbrack Street when his bike struck the back again of a transport truck and trailer that was coming off Freeway 102.

Police say the driver of the truck did not end immediately after the collision and ongoing driving south on Dunbrack Road soon after the collision.

The motorcyclist was rushed to medical center with daily life-threatening accidents. The 17-12 months-old boy later died in healthcare facility.
