Big turnout highlights car show at Tusky Days

TUSCARAWAS — It was a sight to behold Saturday afternoon as there ended up automobiles, trucks and bikes as far as the eye could see. School  and Heart Streets had been lined with 105 entries in all.

The manager of this year’s party was Darrin Castello, a Tusky Days Committee member, from Tuscarawas.

“I advised Darrin he did an A-1 work of putting this together.” explained Mayor Dana Moore, introducing he was beyond satisfied with the turnout.

SPIKEMAN performed these aged familiar tunes as pageant readers went by to check out all the oldies but goodies. These who entered the show ended up provided the endeavor of voting for their favorites, who were being awarded plaques at the end of the present.

Special types have been as follows: Most effective of Present, Auto — Steve and Nancy Kidwell, Walhounding, 1954 Corvette Ideal of Show, Truck — Jim King, Carrollton,1951 Chevy Truck Manager’s Preference — Bob Grimes, Dover, 1929 Ford Truck Kid’s Selection — Cody and Amanda Jenkins, Scio, 2014 Jeep Wrangler Very best of Present, Motorcycle — Rick Twardoski, Dennison, 2005 Harley V Rod Mayor’s Choice — Glenn Jewell, New Philadelphia,1927 Ford Coupe.

“I was wanting for craftmenship,” famous Moore, of his decision. “I can see the function done to the vehicle by the proprietor.”
